High School Track And Field

High School track and field is an athletic event where competitors from different schools join together to compete against each other in different sport events. In addition to winning, occasionally one of the athletes will manage to set new records at the same time. Many high schools are involved in high school track and field events. The Iowa High School Athletic Association is in charge of many of the track and field competitions that are hosted.

Western Wayne High School track and field has many students that participate each year. They only have an enrollment of fewer than 700 students, but the school takes an active roll in sports events like track and field.

The Deep Creek High School track and field results put Deep Creek as being the state champions for both the boys and the girls track team for 2007. This is not a first for Deep Creek as 2006 found the girl's track team taking the state championship. Derrick Beach of Greenup County, KY has set a few Greenup County High School track and field records in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash as well. The Ruston High School cross-country team had 2 1994 high school track and field winners in Carlos Jenkins and Frank Ensley. Carlos and Frank also won in 1995.

The Hononegah High School track and field teams will have a great new track once the final construction work is done. Another addition to their track and field teams is that girl's track and field is being added this year for the first time. The Bismarck High School track and field has won their share of championships through the years. There are the champions for the last 4 years in the Boy's Class A track and field. These are just a few of their many wins through the years.

An excellent coach is how everyone describes former Brockport coach John Izzo. When he was the coach of their track and field, their cross-country team won 60 consecutive wins and four sectional titles.

California is a large state, so you will find many California high school track and field teams and events. If you go to their homepage they have a current listing of all the California high school track and field records. Lynbrook High School track and field has taken many championships, with them being tops in track in 2006.

If there is any tidbit of information you want, you will find it there. There have been many state qualifiers from the Moline High School track and field teams. They have a very well rounded athletics program that works to help the student/athletic.

The athletes at Plainfield High School have many alumni that excelled in one sport event or another. The Plainfield High School track and field group will get a real boost with the new football field they are getting as well as the new track.
