Track And Field Coaching
For every sport that is played, there is a coach behind the scenes, often held responsible for how good or bad a team performs as a whole. Track and field coaching is a very important position. Track and field consists of more than just one sport. Track and field is an athletic competition that involves many sports such as different kind of races, throwing events (discus, javelin, etc) and jumping sports. For each of these track and field events, there is someone doing the coaching for the track and field.
To be eligible for track and field coaching jobs, candidates must have, at the very least, a master's degree in physical education. Any additional training in coaching or track and field events will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged. In addition, they must be good with students and willing to work as part of a team. Track & field coaching means working with other coaches that are basically doing the same thing, only with another type of sport event.

Often many of the applicants are athletes that have played in one or more sports, but no longer can play the game. Reasons for them no longer playing may be retirement due to an injury. Many athletes that get injured or disabled, they want to stay in the sports world, so they try to get college track and field coaching jobs. This allows them to still put their knowledge and love of the sport to good use. This group of people often makes the best and most qualified applicants for coaching track & field. College track and field coaching salaries will vary based on the applicant's experience and qualifications and the area where the job is located.
Coaches are there to help you to achieve the highest goal you can. When you do well on track and field day, it is a complement to their coaching ability. There are many good coaching tips for track and field day. One tip is to not true anything new on track and field day. By this, they mean new shoes, new techniques, new foods that may not agree with you. If you haven't tried it in practice, don't try it on your big day. Another tip is to always remember to warm up before and cool down after any event. Always pack some first aid supplies for the day along with basic essentials like toilet tissue, water bottle, energy bars and warm up clothes.
Your coach will give you some great coaching drills for track and field. One very important tip he will give you in regards to drills is if you are participating in more than one event, do the drills in the order you will be doing the actual events.
