Usa Track And Field
The USA Track and Field is a National Organization & Governing Body in charge of promoting and sponsoring track & field events and races in the United States. The races may be long distance running or walking races. The United States Track and Field is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers with a full staff that is run by President Bill Roe and CEO Craig Masback.
USA Track & Field forms the most-watches Olympics events, some of which are the oldest sports in the world as well as being the #1 high school and junior high school sports that are participated in. They presently promote over 30 million runners in the United States. The purpose and goal of USA Track Field Organization is to ensure the fine competitiveness, interest and participation that presently is in the track and field, long distance running and race walking.
In addition to all their other challenges and accomplishments, they have made it their main purpose to promote the USA Track and Field Team to their final destiny-the Olympics and do all they can to help US win as many events as possible. The Olympics is not the only sport they help the US participate in- they help get them in other World championships as well as 12 other international events each year. They sanction and sponsor over 4,000 events every year. The USA Track & Field has and still does help to initiate and promote the junior Olympics, an organization to get young athletes the help and encouragement to make them competitive and great athletes that can play successfully in the Olympics.

Some of their success stories are such athletes as Jason Perez, Gail Lee and LaKendra Thames. Jason Perez, a freshman from Houston, finished in third place in the 400-meter hurdler with a time of 50.92 at the USA Track & Field Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. In June. Due to his great performance, he was named USATF Junior All-American. Gail Lee, a senior, showed the nation she is one of the best with a top-10 finish in the shot put with a throw of 53-03". Lakendra Thames, a freshman, finished among the top 20 athletes with a discus throw of 137-11", which gave her a 19th place overall. All together, Houston won five Junior All-American honors.
The USA Track and Field logo has long been a status and symbol of success and the united front the United States has always shown with their athletes. The logo is successfully displayed on many athletic apparel items in many stores. The logo is the initials "USA" with wings on each side. It is a symbol worn with pride by anyone lucky enough to wear it.
