University Athletics
Athletics and sports are a very important part of our world and of our high schools, colleges and universities. Many students get into universities on athletic scholarships-scholarships that are earned by hard work and dedication towards one or more sports. Some of these athletes have been lucky enough and skilled enough to go on to professional sports. There are many fine university athletic programs throughout the United States.
The University of Kentucky Athletics Department has sponsors a Center for Academic & Tutorial Services, which works towards helping the students/athletes to work toward their full potential on an academic, social and personal level to ready them for a successful post college career. The University of Tennessee Athletics, located in Knoxville, provides students with a variety of sports programs or facilities for almost any sport.

Arizona State University Athletics has nine men's and eleven women's varsity teams competing in the NCAA Pacific Ten Conference. Athletes at ASU are known as "Sun Devils". The University of Arizona Athletics homepage is an interesting informative site for any student contemplating enrolling in their university.
University of Florida Athletics, located in Gainesville, Florida, provides men's and women's intercollegiate sports as well as recreational sports. Besides UCLA, Florida is the only school to rank in the nation's top 10 best athletic programs each year for 20 years.
The Auburn University Athletics homepage lists their many team accomplishments as well as university information and scores on all games. University of Michigan Athletics, which is home of the Wolverines,, just as Western Michigan University Athletics is home for the Bronco Basketball teams. Michigan has been excelling in many of their televised professional sports for the past few years. Michigan State University Athletics has many intercollegiate programs for the men and women in their university.
The University of Toledo Athletics is in the process of planning the expansion and renovation of Savage Hall and hopes to have the stadium ready for the 2008-2009 seasons. University of Wyoming Athletics boasts proudly of 54 student/athletes honored as scholar athletes for the 2006-2007 season and 73 named All conference for the 2007 season.
